Fixed infrastructure networks

We have experience delivering fixed infrastructure networks across diverse commercial, industrial and government environments.

From fibre transport and microwave backhaul to campus networks, village entertainment systems and IP/MPLS architectures, our solutions deliver secure, high-bandwidth connectivity for mission-critical applications.

With extensive experience across the entire project lifecycle, we collaborate with clients to design, implement and manage integrated network platforms that ensure long-term performance, scalability and operational efficiency.

Key features

High-capacity transport

Fibre, microwave and IP/MPLS transport technologies deliver the high-capacity backbone needed to move large volumes of data reliably across complex operations.

Ultra-reliable, low-latency performance

Redundant architecture and engineered pathways ensure fast, deterministic connectivity for latency-sensitive, always-on applications.

Integrated network architecture

A unified design that combines fibre, microwave, Ethernet and core IP networks delivers seamless interoperability across your entire infrastructure.

Secure and resilient operations

End-to-end security, traffic segmentation and robust protection measures safeguard critical communications in even the most demanding environments.

Capabilities

BAI works with you from end to end to deliver your fixed infrastructure network: from understanding your operational environment and defining the business case to providing full lifecycle management and long-term support.

We begin by assessing your existing transport and site connectivity landscape, identifying performance gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement. Through detailed consultations, requirements analysis and feasibility studies, we help you validate the business case and establish a network strategy that aligns with your operational, commercial and technology objectives.

We then design an integrated architecture that brings together fibre transport, microwave backhaul, IP/MPLS, Ethernet and associated systems. Following our acquisition of Titan ICT, now part of BAI Communications, we draw on Titan’s extensive engineering heritage to develop solution designs, network topologies and implementation plans that ensure capacity, resilience, interoperability and environmental suitability without vendor bias.

With the design approved, we manage the full implementation and integration process, including equipment supply, configuration, installation, testing and commissioning. Our team ensures each component, from core routing to access layer services and supporting systems, works seamlessly across your operational environment, delivering a reliable and efficient network from day one.

Following deployment, we provide comprehensive operational support. We monitor performance, apply proactive maintenance and optimise the network as needs evolve. Through robust lifecycle management, structured change control and scalable support models, we ensure your fixed infrastructure network remains secure, reliable and aligned with long-term operational growth.

Technologies

Microwave

Microwave links provide high-capacity, long-distance connectivity where fibre is unavailable or impractical. With engineered path diversity and carrier-grade equipment, microwave delivers reliable transport for mission-critical operations across remote or complex terrain. It is ideal for backhaul, redundancy, and extending network reach without costly civil works.

IP Networks

IP networks form the foundational layer of digital communication, enabling devices, applications and systems to exchange data efficiently across sites. Designed for scalability and flexibility, IP networks support a wide range of operational technologies, from sensors to enterprise systems. Our designs prioritise security, availability and seamless integration with broader infrastructure.

Fibre Transport (DWDM, GPON)

Fibre transport delivers the highest levels of bandwidth, resilience and performance for organisations moving large volumes of data across multiple locations. DWDM enables multi-channel, long-haul transport over a single fibre pair, while GPON provides efficient last-mile distribution. Together, these technologies create a future-ready backbone for high-speed, latency-sensitive applications.

IP/MPLS

IP/MPLS networks provide deterministic, traffic-engineered routing that ensures performance for time-critical services. MPLS enables segmentation, prioritisation and secure transport across shared infrastructure, making it ideal for complex, multi-service environments. This architecture underpins highly reliable, scalable and predictable network operations.

Ethernet

Ethernet delivers flexible, standards-based connectivity across access, aggregation and distribution layers. It supports a broad mix of devices and applications, enabling straightforward integration and rapid deployment. With options for ruggedised and industrial environments, Ethernet remains a versatile and cost-effective building block for fixed infrastructure networks.

Public Address Systems

Public address systems enable clear, consistent audio communication across operational sites, transport hubs and industrial environments. Integrated with core networks, these systems support announcements, alarms, safety messaging and operational coordination. We design PA systems for high intelligibility, reliability and seamless control across distributed locations.

Camp Entertainment Networks

Camp entertainment networks provide workers with access to TV, streaming, internet and communication services across remote accommodation villages. These networks enhance on-site wellbeing and retention while integrating securely with operational infrastructure. Designed for reliability and ease of management, they ensure consistent service delivery regardless of location.
