CloudRAN.AI × BAI Communications: Polaris 10 Trial at the University of Canberra delivers field-validated performance.
CloudRAN.AI today announced a trial milestone with BAI Communications, confirming successful validation of the Polaris 10 outdoor 5G gNB in a trial environment at the University of Canberra.
Across enterprise and campus deployments, private networks must perform reliably beyond theoretical specifications. This trial, focused on deployment readiness and ease of use, validated that Polaris 10 can meet BAI Communications’ required technical specifications through practical testing.
The equipment also proved easy to install, configure, and operate, an important criterion for enterprise solutions. Polaris 10 is also ACMA-certified in Australia, supporting deployment confidence in the local market.
In this engagement, BAI Communications tested Polaris 10 as part of an on-site proof of concept conducted in the lab setting of Innovation Central Canberra, part of the National Industry Innovation Network at the University of Canberra, with whom BAI Communications collaborates. The evaluation assessed deployment behavior and performance against a defined set of functional and performance criteria established by BAI Communications for private network deployments.
For organisations evaluating private networks, the critical question is not only capability on paper, it’s also whether the infrastructure can deliver consistent performance under realistic deployment conditions and constraints. This validation milestone supports broader private network adoption by demonstrating performance aligned with enterprise and campus expectations.
What’s next
CloudRAN.AI and BAI Communications will continue to build on this work as part of ongoing private network engagement in Australia, including additional validation scope, deployment readiness and customer-facing demonstration opportunities.
