Watch Brendan O’Reilly at 5G Realised talking about how 5G is enabling connected cities

BAI Communications

BAI Communications  is shaping the future of shared infrastructure and wireless solutions in Australia.

Brendan O’Reilly, Group Chief Technology Officer at BAI Communications, spoke at the 5G Realised Summit about how 5G and advanced technologies are enabling connected cities.

In this presentation, Brendan explores three key ideas:

  1. Technology supporting cities to be as attractive as possible to live and work in: How 5G connectivity – layered with advanced technologies such as IoT, data analytics, and AI – is going to be one of the greatest enablers for public and private enterprise that we’ve seen in decades, possibly ever.
  2. Enriching communities and driving forward business: How BAI along with our partners are exploring the narrative smart communities build up a smart city. A smart community can be a high street in a city where you’re pulling together a set of local businesses to have similar connectivity, to be able to deliver services in a way that helps the municipality to deliver citizen services with the associated social and economic care.
  3. BAI case studies from across the globe: At BAI, there’s a great amount of effort going into smart communities of the future. Brendan covers the projects BAI has undertaken in New York, Toronto and Hong Kong.
